I posted this at Kayecee's last year, but it will fit in here, too, I think.  grin3

First Book is a Forbes Gold Star Charity and is part of the Combined Federal Campaign, for those who donate that way (I do, because the military has a CFC drive every year, and we have a monthly amount come directly out of DH's pay).

I can't imagine not having any books to read. It just doesn't compute to me. I almost always give books to expecting mothers, either new or used, whether it's a baby shower gift or a congratulations. Looking back over the years I don't think I've ever babysat a child that was awake that I didn't read a story to, unless they were old enough to read themselves, and picked a book of mine or theirs to read. That's just what we do! So getting books and bookmobiles out to communities just seems like the right thing to do. Instilling a love of literature in kids beats the hell out of Saturday morning cartoons any day!
